Chain For Change - CFC (परिवर्तनको लागि सञ्जाल – प.ला.स.) is a non-profit, non-governmental and a social welfare organization established on 20th September 2017 in Nepal. We envision an inclusive society where persons with and without visual disabilities can realize their full potential through respect, cooperation, and equal opportunity.

Working at the intersection of disability, innovation, education, public space design, technology, and human rights, CFC places accessibility and inclusivity at the core of all its work. Our programs are designed with, by, and for persons with visual disabilities, guided by lived experience. CFC promotes inclusion as a shared social responsibility, engaging both persons with and without disabilities to drive understanding, collaboration, and lasting systemic change.

'Chain For Change' envisions persons with visual disabilities to live their lives with full dignity and rights where persons with and without disabilities reside with comprehensive acceptance and mutual cooperation.

Mission

To carry out programs and projects for persons with and without visual disabilities to enhance their life and create inclusive society by insuring their rights and discouraging discrimination.

Goal

To put effort in making experiences of persons with visual disabilities more accessible, friendlier and equal.

What We Do?

We are working to break the barriers through our action and make this world accessible. We connect people, collect memories and change lives. Here is what we are doing:

Signature Projects

Project Wings to Dreams

"Wings to Dreams" is our signature initiative dedicated to breaking the academic barriers faced by students with visual disabilities. We solve complex graphical challenges by developing high-impact accessible educational models and assistive devices.

Our inclusive tools are designed for everyone, reaching a potential 7.4 million students across Nepal. We are currently prioritizing the needs of 1,700 students with visual disabilities across 80 schools nationwide.

Goals:

  • To integrate 3D/tactile printing with braille labeling, audio description, and other accessible mediums for all possible diagrams and graphical content in academic courses for persons with visual disabilities.
  • To establish ‘maqueta’ in all possible touristic and public structures along with accessible descriptions so that understanding and navigation of such places for persons with visual disabilities become accessible.

Wings to Dreams (सपनाहरु को पखेटा)

Wings to Dreams (सपनाहरु को पखेटा) is the new documentary by Chain For Change, continuing the journey started with Wings of Consciousness. The film highlights Project Wings to Dreams, an initiative by Chain For Change in collaboration with Expedición Solidaria, Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain, and St. Xavier's College, Maitighar. Through accessible 3D models, tactile learning tools, and innovative in-door navigation, the documentary reveals how small but meaningful interventions can open doors to independence, confidence, and equal participation for individuals with visual disabilities. It also tells the heartfelt success stories of children, families, teachers, interns, partners, and CFC as a whole who have joined hands in this mission. Watch the full documentary:

Inclusive Hiking And Trekking

Inclusive hiking and trekking is our signature initiative, designed to break barriers and redefine outdoor experiences for everyone.

Our Guiding Techniques & Mobility Skills Training is a comprehensive multi-day program that equips participants with the right knowledge, practical skills, and inclusive mindset. The training focuses on correct guiding techniques, disability-friendly approaches, and respectful behaviors for those who aspire to become guides. At the same time, it empowers individuals with visual disabilities to develop safe and confident mobility skills both with and without white canes in indoor and outdoor environments.

At the end of the training, participants take part in a guided hiking journey, applying what they have learned in real-life settings, building confidence, connection, and true inclusion in action.
