What We Do

Inclusive and Adaptive Sports & Goalball - 2025

On 28th and 29th April, 2025, Chain For Change along with its partners conducted 2-days of Inclusive and Adaptive Sports & Goalball training for the students with visual disabilities of Laboratory Secondary School, Kirtipur, Kathmandu. 3 specialized trainers Mr. Alfonso Xosé González Cabarcos, Mrs. Kety Balibrea Melero and Mrs. Nuria Caus Pertegaz along with their 4 Spanish students facilitated this session. On the first day, Mr. Binod Joshi - International Relation Officer of Tribhuvan University along with a representative from Physical Sport Department, TU visited to observe this initiation.

The trainers built different stations to teach participants with visual disabilities and project interns the basics of Goalball game like warm-up exercise, defense and a fence techniques. They also explained the Sports Teacher and other students of Lab School about the rules and techniques to play the Goalball match and how it can be used as a sport for everyone to play together regardless of their disabilities.

This training will continue for next two months i.e. May and June, 2025 where 4 of the Spanish Students Mr. Manel Granero Cedrón, Mr. Tomas Edgar Requena, Ms. Isabel Giner Ferrer and Mr. Arnau Pérez Plà will work with our project interns and facilitate the school. This event is an initiative by Chain For Change in collaboration with Expedición Solidaria, St. Xavier's College, Maitighar, Laboratory Secondary School, Kirtipur, Universitat Politècnica de València, Universitat de València, EWE Consortium and IES La Creueta.
