Workshop on Adaptive Indoor Games at Laboratory Secondary School - 2025

On Wednesday, 26th November 2025, we conducted a workshop on adaptive indoor games designed and developed by our international intern, Ms. Inés Martínez Gabarda, under the Project Wings to Dreams. The workshop included 11 children with visual disabilities from Grades 5 to 7 of Laboratory Secondary School, Kirtipur, Kathmandu.

The main objective of the workshop was to evaluate how accessible and inclusive several indoor games were, including Snakes and Ladders, Battleships, Secret Message, Crossword/Word Soup, and a geometric shape-ordering activity. Project team members from different departments supported the children as they played each game. This workshop followed a blindfold test held earlier on 21st November 2025, where team members interacted with the games to understand their mechanics and provide feedback. This initiative highlights the importance of designing inclusive games that are accessible and enjoyable for children with visual disabilities.
