On 28th November, 2024, Intern Architect for Accessibility, (2024/25) Ms. Katherine Gumiel Silva with support from Mr. Karmendra Shrestha took the measurement of all the buildings and premises of Namuna Machindra School, Lagenkhel, Lalitpur to develop a 3D Maqueta and tactile map.

Developing the 3D Maqueta of Namuna Machindra School will help students with visual disabilities understand the layout, including paths, ramps, and staircases within its buildings and premises. A 3D tactile map will provide detailed insights into interior spaces, highlighting navigation paths and connections between floors.

The Intern Architect also brought a prototype of 3D Maqueta of the school to observe how students with visual disabilities would respond. They also showed it to the Blind Section In charge to get more idea and information that is required for developing the Maqueta.
